Biden Met With Chorus of Boos During Congressional Baseball Game

Rather than visiting the southern border or answering questions about his failures in Afghanistan, Joe Biden attended Wednesday’s congressional baseball game.

Once the crowd caught a visual of Biden’s arrival, they booed him relentlessly.

Biden was seen maskless and in close proximity to others, though he did put his mask on a few times for theatre.

Biden also delayed a trip to Chicago, which has become a war zone filled with violence and death, in favor of attending the ball game.

Several videos surfaced of the crowd reaction.

Our friends at the New York Post have more on the unfriendly reaction to Joe Biden’s appearance:

President Biden made an appearance at the Congressional Baseball Game on Wednesday night, as he attempts to shore up support for a pair of multitrillion-dollar infrastructure bills that face an uncertain future on Capitol Hill — but was greeted by a chorus of boos from the Republican side of the stadium.

Biden, who postponed a planned Wednesday trip to Chicago to focus on getting both proposals over the finish line in the House, arrived at Nationals Park in the top of the second inning to a partisan reception.

The Democratic side of the stadium erupted in cheers of “Build Back Better,” but they were soon drowned out by boos from Republicans sitting in the first-base stands — with some shouting, “Joe sucks!”

The game was briefly delayed as he acknowledged the crowd and greeted the players.
“Let’s play ball!” chanted some GOP fans, who may have suspected the president of trying to ice their starting pitcher, Rep. Greg Steube (R-Fla.).

Some activists displayed banners urging the passage of the larger spending bill. One read, “Our lives are not a game[.] Pass 3.5T.” Another warned, more bluntly: “Democrats don’t f— this up.”

Biden eventually made his way into the third-base dugout, where he chatted with members of the Democratic team. As the president chatted, Fox Sports 1’s TV cameras caught House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) in an intense phone conversation in the first row.

A familiar chant did occur as well…

Biden also continued to play theatre with his mask wearing habits.

Biden was seen in close proximity to other people while maskless.

Yet, Biden was sure to have his mask on for a photo-op with the mascots…

This is hypocrisy 101.

Nikki Haley and others were critical of Biden attending the baseball game in the first place, amid Afghanistan and the border crisis.

Fox News with more on that criticism:

Nikki Haley, former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, slammed President Biden on Wednesday for attending the Congressional Baseball Game at Nationals Park and not focusing on his duties in the White House.

“The fact that Joe Biden has time to go to the Congressional baseball game but not time to take questions on Afghanistan or see the humanitarian crisis at the border is a disgrace. #DoYourJob #StrikingOut,” Haley tweeted.

Haley has been pushing for the president to explain what led up to the chaotic and deadly Afghanistan withdrawal last month, telling Fox News’ Martha MacCallum Biden claimed none of his military experts said anything to him about keeping forces on the ground or at Bagram Air Force Base. “Well, clearly your generals said they did tell you,” Haley said of Pentagon Congressional testimony this week. “So we need an answer. We need the truth on that because you’ve already lied once on that.”

Haley has drawn speculation recently that she might run for president in 2024, consistently calling out Biden for what she sees as failed policies and she held a rally in Iowa this summer.
